What will I need to submit a Planning Application?
For most projects your design will need to be taken to the stage of scheme level drawings and generally you will need to supply the following documentation as a minimum:-
- Application form (downloadable from your Local Authority Planning website and mandatory since 6th May 2008) including a detailed description of the proposed works
- 1:20 drawings covering existing and proposed elevations and plans
- Location plans
- Appropriate Fee
You may also have to supply design and access statements and other information depending on your location and specific circumstances.
As a guide it generally takes 8 weeks from submission of a planning application to a decision. Please note you will require a location plan and a statutory application fee to accompany your application.
