Damp Proof Course

The damp proff course is an essential part of your builing. In brief it is usually a polythene or bitumin type of roll or sheet that is inserted between courses of bickwork or blockwork above the foundations / floor levels to stop damp and moisture rising from the ground, into the superstructure of your building.
It is critical that the level is correct and as a minimum it shouldbe 150mm above finished ground level.
