Drives
If your home has a driveway, it is pretty likely that your extension will be built by accessing over your drive. Because of the many variations and costs involved in building or renewing a drive, there is no cost allowance in the budget calculator for a new drive!
However, you should not forget about your drive as it is highly unlikely that it will survive the extension unscathed. Ask your builders opinion on protecting it, and obviously if large lorries delivering materials go onto your drive they may cause damage, so we would least recommend that you ask your builder to re-instate any areas of damage by patching with concrete or tarmac and to get the drive back to a presentable standard at the end of the project if you are not planning on putting a new drive in.
