First Floor Boarding

If you are having a 2 storey extension built it is most likely that your floor joists will be timber and be boarded over. There are 2 main options, sheets of flooring grade chipboard, this can be upgraded to a moisture resistant board in bathrooms and en-suites, or you can use a more traditional tongued and groove board if you want to have the option to have exposed floor boards. The flooring is fixed on top of the joists.
