Preparing the tender package and receiving the quotes back will help to give you an idea of how the builders deal with things, recommendation and references will help you to have confidence in the nest ones to choose that you would like to carry out the work, and finally price! It has to be fair, reasonable and affordable - all too many problems can arise over the finances of a building project - make sure all parties are clear before signing contracts and starting work.
