How to agree the building programme?

Size does matter! The size, along with the complexity of the design, working around a functioning home can all effect the length of time it will take to build your extension.

Some delays can be avoided with proper planning, making sure materials are specified, available and ordered in time. Always ask your builder questions before hand about any areas where they may foresee a problem that may cause a delay - the most common area is at foundation stage as until the project is 'out of the ground' they will be working in an area that has been covered over and may hide some unforeseen obstacles.
