Mastic Pointing

Mastic pointing isnt a necessity, but if its going to used it is best to try and get the relevant trades to include this as opposed to getting a specialist mastic pointing company in to do it. Mainly it is used to seal around junctions to stop water getting through smakll gaps, i.e around window and door frames.

It is also used internally around sinks, baths and showers to create a seal and stop water getting down the back of the bath or shower tray onto the floor.
