How long it will take to planning permission?

From the time of submitting your planning application to receiving the verdict will be weeks! Most councils will have a guideline and are usually pretty good at meeting these given dates - there are, in a lot councils weekly or fortnightly meetings are held to go through applications.

If you have any concerns your planning department will be able to help to give you the timescales for the results, if the number of applications is high, the councils may be running slightly slower thatn usual. if you see 'official' looking people outside your house having a look, these are most likely people from the planning department making sure the plans are drawn correctly, the house is where the drawing says it is and the space and boundaries all appear to match the drawings.
